QUALIFICATIONS
|
High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
Complete current training in First Aid and CPR.
Willingness to complete the Commonwealth Child Care Credential, Child Development Associate, and Kentucky All STAR Program.

POSITION SUMMARY
|
To provide quality supervision for students during wrap around childcare services in a safe, relaxed atmosphere,.
To provide recreation, creativity, and socialization to each child, regardless of race, income, creed, or ethnic origin.
To provide learning opportunities through enrichment activities for educational, social, and emotional growth.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
|
Assumes responsibility for creating a positive and appropriate classroom environment and learning climate.
|
Follows and implements regulations of the Division of Regulated Childcare and KY All STARS for licensed programs and other appropriate safety standards and procedures.
|
Works with families and classroom teachers to understand and address the individual needs of students.
|
Plans and conducts the appropriate play and learning activities to foster individual and group activity development.
|
Plans, develops, and leads children during program activities according to program schedule and curriculum.
|
Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth, such as indicated by personnel evaluations, attending team meetings, and completing a minimum of 15 hours of orientation and child development training as approved by CHFS.
|
Works with direction from the assigned lead provider and program director.
|
Utilizes good communication skills, both oral and written.
|
Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with family, school-day teachers, co-workers, and others.
|
Demonstrates punctuality and regular attendance.
|
Maintains appropriate professional appearance.
|
Adheres to the appropriate code of ethics.
|
Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.
