PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

Counsel with students individually and in small groups.
|
Provide a developmental preventive guidance program.
|
Manage the assessment program and explains results to students and parents.
|
Coordinate with the Family Resource Center personnel in order to meet needs of students and their families.
|
Make referrals to appropriate community agencies.
|
Consult with parents on school related concerns.
|
Consult with teachers and staff regarding students with special needs.
|
Maintain inventory of guidance materials.
|
Communicate with other counselors to coordinate guidance activities.
|
Work with staff, students and parents to maintain a healthy school environment.
|
Obtain and makes available materials on guidance related topics.
|
Maintain professional competencies through professional development and leadership training.
|
Establish and maintain student records.
|
Work to ensure proper placement of students.
|
Aid in school scheduling.
|
Function as school registrar.
|
Serve as Special Education ARC chairperson plus 504 meetings.
|
Coordinate Title IV activities (Drug Free School).
|
Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.
|
Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills.
|
Obtain and disseminate occupational information to students.
|
Help students evaluate career interests and choices.
|
Perform any other duties consistent with position as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent.
